Lovers of Art. (Life & Wait for me) Written by: Oyelami Oyebisi & Oke Oladayo

This Thing Called Life

Irrespective of race, age, ethnic, status or whatsoever
Everyone gets a taste of what life has to offer
Some gets a good one, others average or probably bad
In it people are exultant and also miserable
Yet even in misfortunes, misery and sadness
No one wants to let go of this thing called life.

Life is the mixture of pleasant and unpleasant happenings.
Here someone is shouting and leaping for joy,
There someone is dancing to the beats of anguish.
But the sky remains blue and the rain still falls on all.

Wait for me

 I may not tell you when I will be back
 I perchance didn't tell you anything at all
 Yes I acted so nonchalantly, so carefree
 I didn't reveal enough what I want
 I'm so bad at communicating my feelings
 You probably are in doubt of my feelings
 But one thing I know, it's you and you alone.
 So my love, wait for me.

 The see breeze echoed your name
And the winds spoke in your voice.
Your thoughts are lucid, dancing serenely in my heart;
Forgetting the flaws you created.
I heard wait, do you mean for you?
Or wait and see your shadow run again.
But if I'll wait,
I'll wait behind the shores of the endless darkness;
As I expect you walk to me in glitters.
